‌The Roland SPD-SX PRO is a top-of-the-line sampling pad designed for professional use. It has nine playing surfaces, eight external trigger inputs, a color display, customizable pad LEDs, onboard effects, and more. The SPD-SX PRO has a 4.3-inch color screen with backlit buttons, tabs, and a jog dial for easy navigation. Its customizable multi-color pad-dividing LED and trigger lights allow the nine pads to be clearly seen on dark stages. It has a sample audio playback rate of 48kHz, two balanced stereo master outputs, and four balanced mono audio outputs. It also has inputs for hi-hat or expression pedal control and up to two footswitches. The SPD-SX PRO has 32 GB of internal memory, allowing it to store almost 44 hours of stereo audio in 48kHz, including 200 kits with 43 preset kits already installed. It also comes loaded with 1,550 high-quality samples and sounds. The SPD-SX PRO can be easily connected to a computer via USB and its dedicated app allows for the import, editing, and creation of samples and kits. It has increased shoulder pad sensitivity and improved crosstalk performance, and its 16-step pad sequencer function and onboard effects engine allow for a wide range of sound effects. It also has a built-in click/metronome and the ability to record performances as WAV files and assign them to pads.
