Neotech BSSWC Bassoon Seat Strap

The Neotech BSSWC Bassoon Seat Strap is designed for bassoonists who want to reduce neck and back strain during long playing sessions. It offers an alternative to the traditional neck strap by transferring the instrument's weight to the chair instead of the player's body.

Key Features

• Nylon-reinforced neoprene cup that securely captures the end of the bassoon
• Adjustable webbing strap, approximately 25 to 38 inches (63.5 to 96.5 cm)
• 5-inch-square non-skid neoprene pad to keep the strap in place on the chair
• Quick-disconnect system for fast, easy attachment to the chair leg
• Made in the USA
• Hand-washable with mild detergent, lay flat to dry
• Compact design that fits in the instrument case's storage compartment

Highlights

By shifting the bassoon's weight to the chair instead of the player's neck, this strap reduces muscle fatigue during long rehearsals or performances. The non-skid pad and quick-disconnect system allow for a stable, fast setup before every session.

Who is it for?

Well suited for orchestral, band, and ensemble bassoonists who play seated for extended periods and want a comfortable alternative to the traditional neck strap.
