Description / Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Face Mini
Hendrix was the master of fuzz, an artist with many subtle shadings at his command. His love affair with the legendary Fuzz Face pedal began in the early days of the Experience and continued to evolve throughout his brief but blazing career. The Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Face is a meticulously faithful reproduction of the 1969-70 Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face that Jimi used on classic albums like Band of Gypsys. The Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Face Mini Distortion Pedal features the same legendary fuzz face tone in a much more compact size. Based on the classic JHF1 Hendrix Fuzz Face pedal,it gives you the same thick, smooth Fuzz Face tone from its toneful BC108 silicon transistor. The Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Face Mini Distortion Pedal also includes modern enhancements: true bypass switching and a bright status LED. If you're a Hendrix or Fuzz Face fan, the Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Face Mini Distortion Pedal is the perfect choice for you.
Dunlop's engineering department examined hoards of vintage Fuzz Faces, honing in on a few units which possessed that unmistakable Jimi voodoo. The Hendrix Fuzz Face is built around the toneful BC108 silicon transistor. It is authentic in every detail, a handwired brown circuit board with no solder mask and circuitry carefully matched to the original specs. The look is 100% accurate too, that groovy circular chassis with tooled clones of the original Fuzz Face knobs in the rare and vintage turquoise hammertone finish.

Vintage circuitry with modern modifications
For decades, Fuzz Face fanatics have debated whether silicon or germanium is the better candidate for the pedal's transistor. For Jimi Hendrix, his infatuations with both silicon and germanium Fuzz Face pedals is no surprise to anyone. Based around the 1969-1970 Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face that Hendrix used on classic albums such as Electric Ladyland, the Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Face Mini Distortion faithfully captures the same sonic characters with the BC108 silicon transistor.
Pedalboard friendly housing
One of the inconvenience of incorporating a traditional Fuzz Face pedal in a pedalboard is its unusually large housing size. In many occasions, guitarists and bassists would have to sacrifice one or more pedals that they love in order to insert a Fuzz Face in the signal chain. With this improved, pedalboard friendly housing design, size is no longer an issue.
