Electronic Drum Kits

The first wave of electronic drums came in the 1980s. They have managed to please, for a time, their synthesized and artificial sounds, like those of drum machines, were a novelty used widely, appearing in popular music until they became boring and mundane. They were not enjoyable to play for the drummers, with their non-natural surface, their hard coating and the clumsy configurations of the time.

In the 90's, the motivation has been to create a new generation of electronic drums. Sets that would achieve the things that the drummers and the music industry have wanted the most: that electronic drums should sound like a real acoustic drum set, cymbals and other percussion instruments, they should contain a wide variety of sounds, that they should provide an ease and convenience of playing, practice and recording and perhaps more importantly, this electronic drum must be comfortable, encouraging and fun-to-play, as the acoustic drums have always been.

The wonderful and very practical side effect of all these claims would also be that we wouldn't make SO MUCH NOISE!
